Hi, There is still a Stuart Street in Wigan and it is quite near Vauxhall Road which you have mentioned. They are both situated in the Scholes area of Wigan which is adjacent to Ince. Just one other thought: could the name 'Megraw' actually be McGrath if someone was taking down info and didn't know how to spell it? Regards.

I have been searching in vain for the parents of Thomas West born 1774 in the Wycombe area (I think). He married Jane Goodchild in 1794 in West Wycombe. They had 5 children John, Anne, William, James and Charles. I need to discover if Thomas had any siblings which would help me to sort out a puzzle. Any advice gratefully received. Thank you.

I seem to have opened a can of worms family wise!
I would like to discover
a) the parents of John West b.1796. He married Elizabeth Mason in Nov 1818
in Buckinghamshire.
b) Did Thomas West b1845 (grandson of the above) marry Maria Poole 1st circa 1865 +/- 5 years (and having a son William Walter Watkin West in1867)and then marry an Ellen George around 1881? Again in Buckinghamshire area - maybe Wycombe. Maybe Maria died?
I have found so many Thomas Wests that I'm not sure where to start and would like to get my facts straight. Can anyone advise please - I would be so grateful.

I have followed the kind advice given to me yesterday re finding children with the same parents but need a bit of help please.
I need to clarify the number of children Thomas and Jane West of West Wycombe Bucks had. I get Anne 1799 William 1803 Charles1811 and James1805 listed together but there is also a John 1796 but although I can get him separately as having these parents, I can't get him listed with the other children if you get my drift.
I know I have to be careful about these records and would appreciate an experienced eye being cast. Many thanks.
