From further research with census and birth records, I think the Rosina who married William Parsley was the daughter of a James Roberts Thompson, so not your one.

I think she married a William James PARSLEY (marriage Jul-Sep 1908 Bristol 6a 292) and died 9 Dec 1939.
PARSLEY Rosina of Gladstone Villa Wrington Somersetshire died 9 Dec 1939 (wife of William James Parsley) Probate Bristol 5 Feb 1940 to James Roberts THOMPSON retired superintendent.

Could it be an error made at the time and the death date should have been 1927, like the probate date? If so, there is a GRO death entry Apr-Jun 1927 in West Derby Volume 08B  Page 481, for a Daniel McKay, age 75

His mother is listed as Elizabeth and is living with him in 1880, I think Nancy is a widow in the next census though so that might narrow things down.

Really interesting. It's great to see what type of establishment it was. A mariner relative died at the hotel and it would make sense now why they would have been staying there at the time.
Thank you, it is truly appreciated.

I think if he is the one living in 1870 in Brooklyn Ward 19, Kings, New York with wife Nancy, he may have survived and been living in 1880 in Queens, Queens, New York, USA.

That death is for David's wife, not his mother.

Debra  :)

I know, that is my point. It is the same date, could it be a confusion and an error by the person who put that date for Elspet on their tree when it should have been for Elizabeth?

There is a transcription for a baptism for an Elspet Gallish born 3 Mar 1797, baptised 5 Mar 1797 in Keith, Moray, Banff, Scotland which could be her. Parents listed are Peter Gallish and Jean Brember.
Peter Gallish and Jean Brember married 21 May 1796 in Keith, Moray, Banff, Scotland.
