Hi Mig
The 1881 & 1891 records Thomas Sedgwick as the publican of the George & Dragon. That's why I was thinking that the address of Creswell st was a different George & dragon & not the one I am looking for ????

Hi Al
Thank you for that link - didn't know about it.

When I do Google maps for Creswick St - it doesn't show anything but someone has already shown me 3 photos from Manchester Libraries archives - showing "Inns, George and Dragon, Cresswell Street, Ardwick Green" - is this the same place as 28 ARdwick Green Sth, Manchester ??

Thanks
Cathy

I am looking for any information regarding the George & Dragon Pub/Hotel at 28 Ardwick Green Sth, Manchester.

Thomas Sedgwick was the publican according to the 1881 census & 1891 census.

Where can I find more infomation like the exact dates he was publican & any history attached to the George & Dragon. Would like any photos as well.

I am in Australia & have written a letter to the George & Dragon to see if they can help me but the letter was returned 3 months later marked "addressee gone away".  Is the George & Dragon still there ??
Thanks Cathy
