Hi there,

I am having trouble finding info of my gg grandfather's parents, I cannot find his death notes or even his birth notes. I know for certain he was born about 1817 in Cranston and that he died in Fife, possibly Markinch or Kennoway. He was married to Susan Somerville.
Any help would be great.

Thanks

Scotty

Thanks for looking Pauline, I understand Arthur married Beatrice Sheasby in 1909, she was the daughter of John Sheasby and Eliza Walding.John was born in 1847 in Southampton and Eliza was born in 1857 Chalfont St Peter Buckinghamshire.

I am researching the family of Edwin Derrick ( 1859 ) a dental Surgeon of White Ladies Road in Bristol. He had three children, Arthur  ( 1885 ),Florence ( 1890 ), Harry ( 1892 ). These are the Aunt and Uncle and Father of my former wife Elsie Derrick. My problem is Arthur, I cannot find much about him. I think he married a Beatrice Sheasby probably born about c1890. I don't know about his children but I think one of his daughters married some one surnamed Chamberlain. I know about the Derricks past and present all except Arthur and family. Any light shed here would be great and fill a space in my tree.

Thanks for those photos Norrie, I was staying in Leven and didn't think to go to Scoonie cemetery. The pics from Upper largo are great, mostly because I knew most of these folks.
I have been sent pics of headstones from New Zealand from kinfolk over there, as Trish says the maiden name information makes life/death much easier when researching. I can't thank you all enough for the help and time you have put to assisting me in my quest.
My Aunty Nell Simpson nee Henderson's sister and two brothers emigrated to New Zealand, one of her nephews married a Maorie girl. I am in touch with them all through research.

Just got back from work and logged on to find all this great information. All the information is usefull for inclusion in my family tree. I was in largo last week and went to Upper largo cemetery and photgraphed some of the Head Stones but the pictures seem to have disappeared from my camera, Sad. Thanks for the info on my cousin Victor, I didn't have this info.

Thanks for your help Sancti, I'm not sure if these are the ones I have. The Andrew I have is listed in the 1841 and 1851 census and is married to Isabella ( Simpson) ? and they have 7 children. These children fit in with my genealogy. Walter marrying Janet Martin, his eldest son Andrew marrying Grace Bousie, his eldest my G Uncle  William marrying my G Aunt Nell ( Helen Henderson ). What I am trying to do is establish ancestry beyond Andrew (1897/99) and hope to find living cousins that I lost contact with in the 1950s. My cousin William Simpson of Upper largo married Jean Munroe and had two children Mary and Jean. Jean lived in Bristol for a while whilst her husband was at university. My Granny was mortaly offended by the fact that Jean had married an Asian and made her feelings very clear to Jean. Obviously Jean was rather upset by this and cut herself off from us. My other cousins  were children of Grace Simpson and Robert Horne of Lundin Links we lost touch with these when my Mother moved us to England.
There you are, a potted history.

I have no idea when he died, he was married to Isabella, I don't know her maiden name. I have no idea who his father, mother or grand parents were.
