Somerset Completed Lookup Requests / 1841 Look Up - Cantle
« on: Thursday 06 October 05 11:24 BST (UK)  »
Hi

I'd be grateful if someone could look up Robert Cantle (born 1780) and his wife Rebecca Cantle (formally Dexter)(born 1799) Records for their son Joseph say that he was born in the Bitton area in 1815 but so far there seems to be no sign of them in Gloucestershire so its been suggested I should request a look up in Somerset as Bitton was so near the border.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi

I would be very grateful if someone could look up John and George Snailham

John would have been around 43 in 1841 and George about 10. They were born in the Bitton/Warmley area.

Many thanks

Hi

I would be very grateful if someone could look up an Ann Walford who was living in Marks Tey or around that area. In 1800 she had an illigitimate son called Gainsford Gibling and had him baptised at Marks Tey in June 1800 but thats as much as I know.

Thank you

Hi

I would be very grateful if someone could look up the 1841 census for a James Rea (occupation possibly a Smith) and his daughter Elizabeth Rea (born 1838 in Bloomsbury).

I'm assuming they were still living around Bloomsbury in 1841.

Thank you

England / Family Search.org - advice please
« on: Wednesday 01 December 04 09:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

The familysearch.org site has the following details on Gainsford Gibin Walford:-

When I click on the source call number it shows the following:

I'm not clear where the actual christening details appeared as there seem to be 8 different possibilities for the source material.  I think its just me not understanding how they collate these records but any help on where I go next would be much appreciated as I'd like to find out who his parents were.

Hi

Having sent for Gainford Giblin Walford's death certificate (June 1859) it showed that a Jane Walford was present at his death but gives no details of their relationship.

I would be very grateful if someone could look up Jane Walford & Gainsford Giblin Walford in Hoxton for 1851/61.  The address on the death certificate for Gainsford was 8 Napier Street Hoxton New Town.  Gainsford was logged as a porter and was 59 when he died on 4 June 1859.

PS - request also posted on London Look UP Request Area.
