Hi everyone

PaulineJ was right it is Samways.

I was contacted by a new member who has Barjen in her tree too..........she Googled the name and was directed to Rootschat.

Henry was illegitimate.......had is mother surname and used his fathers name over the years...as did his family.

Well done ............Rootschat has come up trumps again...........and I have another rellie to exchange family information with!!

Don't you just love these sort of days?

It deserves the success it has.............it has a fantastic band of members who give each other unconditional support......all free of charge!!!
What other website offers that?    ;)

a)Find "Cousins" who have given me other branches of my trees

b)Found relatives who had photo's that I didn't even know existed!

c)Helped me not to smoke during the past year

d)Find people who would kindly do lookups for me

e)Make friends through offering grave lookups for others

So Many Happy Returns Rootschat and a Happy New Year 2006 to everyone

Thank you Patricia............that's exactly how I feel too.........I'm glad I'm not alone!    ;)

I suspect that someone has done that to my tree.........after me granting access to them, names in my tree have appeared all over the GR site.    :'(

I will also reduce the amount of information/certificates and photo's that I have on the site.

Ten to fifteen years hard work......... and expense...........is a lot to share with someone who has no information to give and wants a free ride....I don't mind giving certificate copies if I've been asked for them though, providing they share their certificates and photo's with me

Hi, Merry Christmas to one and all

This may seem a stupid question but.................if I open my family tree to someone else on GR can they then download it on their computer?   ::)

Many thanks

Sue    :)

I echo too the thoughts and sentiments already sent to you.

No parent should ever have to bury a child and the emptiness you feel must be unbearable.     :'(

Memories are like dreams and are so important to us...............hold onto your memories......... because they can NEVER be taken away from you.

Hugs,hugs and more hugs

The Lighter Side / Re: What is your most uncommon name?
« on: Wednesday 30 November 05 21:04 GMT (UK)  »
I thought my great x4 grandfather Barjew/Barjeau was uncommon enough but

today we are celebrating the birth of our 13th grandchild..........it is a

wonderful grandson but his name is PUCK.............I'm sure we'll get used to it

in time but,we won't be shouting his name across the park if he runs

away!!!!!!!
