The Common Room / Re: Can Rootschat help Olive ARCHER of Swindon Wiltshire?
« on: Friday 04 January 08 13:20 GMT (UK)  »
I bet Olive would be amazed at all the media and worldwide interest in

her..........I have seen an item on the tv,heard several items on the radio and

read about her in the Daily Mail. She was the most beautiful woman from the

photo I've seen.

The vicar has opened a line for memorials to be read at the funeral.

Rest in Peace Olive

Census and Resource Discussion / Re: 'The Genealogist' 30 day free trial
« on: Saturday 07 July 07 18:56 BST (UK)  »
I have had another unpleasant experience with this company since my last posting in January :(

I had a lot of unused credits........mainly because I was unable to log on at times. Because I wouldn't renew my subscription ( I had the credits but was unable to use them!) they informed me that my 420 credits couldn't be used up without a "current membership". I lost the whole lot!!

They were completely unconcerned when I complained.

I would never deal with them again...........nor recommend them.Stay clear.....there are better ways to do look ups and better companies offering a far better service.  ;)

I had a years membership with this company.  :'(

I wouldn't touch them again even if they were the only genealogy resource

available..........on or off line!!  :o

The head of the household in Maidstone was a Joseph age 70.

Charles is unmarried in 1881 and has siblings.I know the house............it is very substantial and they had servants

Joseph died in 1887 age 77 in Maidstone

There is a chance that Joseph is related to the family in Nottingham and 2 brothers had sons called Charles! and both brother followed the same profession
