I believe it to be very prevalent in Sicily as well as Africa - but sufferers don't tend to get malaria- also a problem there.

Dear All
Could anyone do a look up for me for the Marriage Index (Palots?) for William and Sophia Lewin, both from Middlesex who married about 1824/6, please.

Some libraries have a service where they will obtain copies of an article for you (I think it's the British Library that offers the service in fact).  And not extortionate if my husband's experience is anything to go by.
Good luck

Rutland / John and Mary Ann Freeman

Dear All
Does anyone have any info they can give me on John and Mary Ann Freeman.  He was born in Brooke, Rutland, and she was born in Langham, Rutland, both ca. 1811.  I have found them on censuses until 1861 and then they disappear.  I can't find them on the National Burial Index.  He was a grazier/cattle dealer.  I should be grateful for anything.  Thank you.

Dear Carmela
Come to think of it, is the date for John Casemore a mistake, please?
