Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Brides surname? Crann/Cravin
« on: Sunday 13 April 14 21:15 BST (UK)  »
The following marriage is the subject to a current discussion on the West Yorkshire board.
I believe the surname as written says Cravin, whilst the original poster who asked for confirmation says Cran.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Where was I born and when?
« on: Friday 28 February 14 08:53 GMT (UK)  »
A new contact (I am doing a single name study) would like to know where a relative (long since buried) was born.
All I have been told is that the lady Hannah Yewdall married a William Nichols (widower) December 1881 in Bradford West Yorkshire.
Father's name being Benjamin Yewdall, mother's name unknown.
Have been told that Hannah was recorded as 41 years old on 1891 census?
[ I have so far checked through 1851 census for Bradford [nothing found] as I have no other resources any offers accepted for a look up]

Bearing in mind I have 6 various computers here, Microsoft has so far released 21 updates for Win 7, and 13 for XP. (inc office security updates)
So if you see that gold shield down on the task bar, you know your computer is going to be slow until all updates have been installed ;)

For the benefit of anyone using Office 2007, the latest security updates are causing problems. :o
KB2760411 and KB2760588 are repeatedly being downloaded during the day.
My computer has downloaded the above 4times each day since released on the 10th September.
Microsoft are aware of the problems, further information to be conveyed when a workround has been sorted. ::)

Technical Help / How often do you check for new E Mail? Now sorted complete
« on: Tuesday 11 June 13 23:38 BST (UK)  »
To keep the story short, I bought my wife a new laptop for a christmas present 2012.
Previously she shared my desktop machine where she had her own mail account using Outlook Express, but since she had now her own computer she didn't bother checking her account on desktop machine.
I this evening accessed her old account to check to see if everything still works, imagine to my horror she had 340 E Mails in her inbox :o
