Completed Census Requests / 1841

i know this is supposed to be 1851-1901 but i was hoping somebody could answer me a question.

on the sheffield 1841 Jonas WHITAKER down as being born in county what does that mean?

I think the person was born in Keighley, West Yorkshire and Sheffield is South Yorkshire but both were classed as West Riding, so is that my answer?

Hiya Mable

I have a William HUDSON (stockport) that married Hannah SWIFT (stoney middleton) 1820. And from there goes back to 1660. Give me a shout if you want to know what i have.

I'd really like to get a marriage certificate for 2 couples, but  i dont know the womens maiden name or year of marriage.

I wondered if anyone had any genius ideas how i could find out.

I have searched ancestry and couldn't find anything that fit.

The first is:
William WHITAKER b.1823 Keighley
Mary Ann ?? b.1821 Sheffield
Their first child was born in 1848 Sheffield.
I have the family on 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1991 census Sheffield.

The second is:
William LYALLS b.1819 Sheffield
Hannah ?? b.1823 Sheffield
Their first child was born in 1851
Again i have the family on the 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 census Sheffield.

I'd appreciate any help  :)

Rachel
