London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / peter white of nutfield, Surrey
« on: Friday 15 August 08 19:53 BST (UK)  »
Has anybody come across a Peter White who married a Mary Harber(our) in Nutfield in 1757 and died 1797 aged 75,  I cannot find any local reference to him( Bletchingley/Godstone etc, He seems to just come out of thin air, as far as can be found, One child only, The Hardwick marriage cert gave them as living in Pimlico near nutfield ( of this parish),The IGI gives some Peter whites in Richmond Surrey, If the death age is fairly right that makes a birth of 1722ish, Perhaps some somebody could throw a few ideas in to the ring,
                                  Regards mick

 Hi Dave.
I am mick by the way, wow so soon after all this time of searching, a nice sounding marriage, any way many thanks, I will try to build some flesh on them to see if its as good as it looks, I have a day diary that belonged to a William White who married Jane 1851 the daughter of a Thomas and Jane shepherd and that book has many references to (Janes mother) in Stepney, But no real bones as to who she was or where she came from, But it is fantastic as to how fluid they were between 1851 to about 1870 in and around middlesex and surrey, Many thanks again.
                Regards mick

Hi Brian,
My handle is mick, My Mary Atkinson was married 19/12/1874 Egton on her marr cert she gave her father as Samuel Atkinson, farmer, Age given was 20, In theory that makes her bn 1839, In the  censuses she gave egton and scarborough as of origin, the only Mary I can find is one in Lebberston hall/gristhorpe aged 7months 1841 census the father being samuel 55 farmer and mary 55 Elizabeth 15 Ann 20 Samuel did not make the 51c as usually happens, Looking at your family perhaps they are not the same, but if yours is Gristhorpe and mine is Lebberston I must be missing something, Or trying to make things fit when they do not, John/mary pringle ne' Atkinson had 6 children,    Mary ann1863
                  Francis 1864
                 sarah  1866
                  john  1869
                  mathew  1871
                  Margrete  1874
Heres hoping you can make head or tails of this, I would like to think there is some one out there who is related,
                     Regards mick

can any one help, I have a family  that lived in John Street of Stepney Causeway, Thomas Shepherd (shepperd) who married a Jane (unknown), His life line was 1780 approx  to 1846, They had about 8 children, The first known was Thomas 1804, Jane was bn about the same date as hubby and died 1866, in the censuses she gave Ratcliff as place of origin, Because Thomas Shepherd died before the 51c where he came from is not known, What I need is Jane's ne' name and where the marriage took place and date, The children I have are Thomas,John,William,Charles,Jane,Mary ann,George,Henry, If you are connected to any of the family, Mines jane jnr, any info could be usefull no matter how small I have been looking for about 10/12 years for them and only just found this site, And it looks like the best one I have found, The Parish registers.com sight proved a bit expensive, and I live to far from Tower hamlets Office.    ::)

Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / Easby parish reg- Pringle
« on: Thursday 14 August 08 16:18 BST (UK)  »
Could anyone please check the parish records of Easby, North Yorks for a George Pringle Bn/Bp approx 25 April 1773, Parents were George and Jane Pringle ne' Coverdale,  Easby was given as  place of origin in the 51c but open mindedness on this info is a must, The IGI has a George Pringle Bp in Stokesley (batch no C014793) for the same date, As Easby has not been extracted by the IGI, I have no way of confirming the Easby origin, he died 20 Oct 1851 Egton aged 79, Is the Easby George one of the same as the Stokesley one

Hi.   I noticed that you are related to the atkinsons of gristhorp, Mary a sister in this family ( samuel and mary) married our John Pringle of Egton 1859. Looking at the age of samuel I think he was married before can you confirm this. ..... Mickmack1942
