Now totally confused! I have a marriage of Francis Latta (mariner) 23 May 1839 St John Liverpool to Mary Davis, Francis's father : Michael, mother :  Mary which ties in with the birth record found previously..........wonders aloud if son Henry b.1828 was baseborn to Julia Rose but brought up by the Latta's ?

I do hope I am not confusing you as much as I am myself :)

conundrum ! After a lot of searching I have found many records detailing Francis seafaring voyages, each one of those state his place of birth as London. The only Francis I am coming up with is :
Francis William Latta
b. 14 Mar 1811  c. 4 Apr 1813 St George in the East, Stepney
Father: Michael (mariner ! )
Mother: Mary

excitement!.....however IF this is my Francis  he would have been 17 yrs old at the time of son Henry's birth in 1828 ? would this be a normal age to be married in 1820/30's ?

'Can you tell us who registered his death please as his wife Julia was already deceased?'

Henry died in 1870 his wife Flora was the informant, she died in 1872, her address was 19 Oswald street ant the time of registering Henry's death

It may be worth searching for "Henry Lott, Birthplace Suffolk, Birth Year 1829", may I ask why ?
