Which won't tell you a great deal.  :'(

I've just been to Lichfield Archives.  Unfortunately the film copy of the marriage registers for St Matthew, Walsall are in the old format, and therefore not a lot of information, however:

29 November 1841 - John Tonks (x) of Darlaston and Ann Maria Wilkes (x) of Darlaston were married by Banns.  Witnesses:  Josiah Millington and Phoebe Humpage (x)

I've just been to Lichfield Archives and searched the Christ Church, Gailey baptism records:

John Edwin Deane, born 30 August 1894, baptised 11 November 1894.  Son of John and Alice Charlotte Deane of Hatherton, Gamekeeper.

No trace of Allan Percy, and I did continue looking until 1906.
