Aarghhhhhhhhhhh!  My mistake it was September quarter 1895   :-[  But the rest of the information was correct!!!

I found it on FreeBMD  ;D  Until 1935 St Helens came under the Registration District of Prescot.

I've just double-checked it.  ;)

Thank you Stan, but I'm still a little perplexed.  :-\

The 1876 marriage is in Bradford.

The parish register merely shows the name of the Curate who conducted the marriage, but the marriage certificate, whilst confirming the Curate conducting the marriage, is signed by the Parish Clerk of Bradford on the date of the marriage, and of course notes the entry number in the parish register.

This could be an extremely stupid question, and I should possibly know the answer  ::)

I have a marriage taking place in Yorkshire in 1876.  I have a scanned image of the parish register entry, and I have the original paper copy of the Marriage Certificate dated the day of the marriage.  The marriage took place in a Church of England church.  The entries are in different hand-writing - so does that mean that a member of the Registration Office attended the marriage ceremony?  I know that non-conformist marriages were Registrar attended, but did that also apply to C of E marriages?

I have a similar scenario for a later (1907) marriage in a Wesleyan Chapel, and the scanned image of the register does state "in the presence of" and the name coincides with the paper copy of the Marriage Certificate issued on the day of the marriage.

Congratulations  ;D  When my father died, I inherited a load of paperwork which included:

my mother's death certificate
their marriage certificate
my father's birth certificate
my mother's birth certificate
my paternal grandparents' death certificate
their marriage certificate
their birth certificates
the birth and death certificate for my father's brother
my paternal great grandfather's death certificate
his marriage certificate - complete with holes where it had been placed on a spike - dated 1876

It's a good feeling  8)

And Benjamin also left a will, and his details coincide with those in the details of Henry's will regarding abode, and occupation.

As far as I'm aware, and this is how it used to be prior to the change  ;D you open up the post, click on "Modify" on the right-hand side of the post, and then you can change the title.

West Yorkshire Archive Service say that records for St Patrick's in Bradford cover the period 1855 - 1906 for baptisms and marriages.  There are no records listed for deaths.  Collection reference is RC2.

They also say that the records can be viewed at all of the WYAS offices - as Bradford is currently closed, that would be Wakefield, Leeds, Halifax and Huddersfield.

Sorry, can't help with any graveyard.
