Hi Martin
nice to have you join in this thread.   I started another thread fairly recently on this board, I think some of your photography features in it.
I tried to contact you via Steve Bulman, no luck, to ask permission to use your photo of Kilmonivaig.  A friend from PA was in Spean Bridge, so he visited Kilmonivaig, got me a photo.
I got copies of my grandmother's burial details, from the Highland Council in the Fort, possibly her burial was arranged by her father, a MacLeod, in one of two  lairs which he acquired in Kilmonivaig.
I'll have a good look at the links you posted, thank you.
Canmore looks very interesting.
Also thanks for the info on the Glen Nevis graveyard.
I'll have to have a trip up to Fort William soon.

Hi Christopher,
absolutely nothing new, although I find Ravenhair's Helen Halliday Bogue fascinating - so much in common, christian names, Dunbartonshire, Hallidays, and yet no apparent connection.

Perhaps this thread should be marked closed now, Ravenhair is looking in other areas for her kinfolk.
I'm not sure how to go about closing a thread.  I'll read up on it today.
Thanks for the enquiry
Peter

Hi Leona
The graves I saw, no river or monument near them, as with Inverlochy.
There were a few graves, recognisable by the railings round them.  The railings were in a really bad state of repair, rusted, broken.  And out on the moors, in the middle of nowhere.
When I've time during next week,  I'll phone the department at Fort William which deals with graves, etc.   They were very helpful with my MacLeod/Kilmonivaig enquiry.
Brings back something a relative told me recently - my grandmother is buried at Kilmonivaig, but - she said my grandfather is buried in Glen Nevis - I wandered the Glen for many hours during my time in the Fort, but don't recall a graveyard in the Glen.
regards
Peter

Anyone interested, PM me.

Scotland / Re: Mary Ann Cameron - where next?

Hi -
Can't help but wonder, as the marriage of Mary Cameron and Ronald McMasters has been submitted to LDS as part of their church work by a member of the Mormon church, is it possible someone else is researching the same family lines, and is there a way to get the name of that researcher?

Hi Jennifer
just read your post.   Wilsons in Little York Street.   In your research do you recall seeing any sign of a Robert and Elizabeth Wilson and daughter Rebecca in that area?
My Wilsons returned to Ireland from US, my Hallidays lived in 31 Little York Street , somewhere (I think in Belfast) Rebecca met my grandfather John. (They married in Glasgow).
Unashamedly on a fishing trip here, but when dealing with a massive 20 yr brick wall.............?

Thanks Annette,
I saw this site a couple of years ago, emailed them, no reply.
For some reason some of the links are not working on the page, maybe under re-construction, but I see it was updated recently.  I'll keep trying.  Brian's site says "when it is confirmed they settled in Australia they will receive their own page".
That would be nice.
cheers
Pete
