Leicestershire / Barry Stones
« on: Tuesday 29 January 19 00:39 GMT (UK)  »
Hi - Seeking descendants or contacts of Barry Stones (not "s" on tail end of name is correct).  Last messaged with him about 14 years ago.  At that time he lived in the County of Leicestershire and his family originated in Lincs.  .

Thank you.  Regards - Dinny.

To Minniehaha - Again thank you for your reply.
Papers past - I find this interesting and have filed it.  The surnames Dickey and Dickie are the same - it depends where one comes from.  I have been told by contacts many times that all Dickey/Dickeys are related.

My William Dickey arrived in NZ sometime around 1870.   He married Catherine Perry in 1879 at Cromwell.  She was a widow with children.   William and Catherine had another family, including Joseph Herbert.

I have information on both the Perry & Dickey families and don't require any further information on those families.

I would like to make contact with the descendants or family of Joseph Herbert Dickey only please.
Again, thank you for this information.  All the best for the festive season.  Regards - Dinny.

To Janette - Thank you for your efforts in this respect.  I have the info you have offered.

Joe had 2 sisters both of whom you have advised of.  Rose Anne Margaret died young and unmarried.
During the 14/18 conflict when Joe declared his next of kin to be Miss C.M. Dickie - I believe this was indeed his mother, Mrs C. Dickey, also residing at Glentunnel in Canterbury.   Joe was born Dickey but whoever registered him got the spelling wrong and registered Dickie which surname was "set in stone" and will not be changed by the Registration people.   This is a  known fact within his siblings' descendants.

What I am looking for is contact with descendants or family.   Joe did marry apparently.

Thank you again.  Regards - Dinny.

To Minniehaha -
Thank you for your efforts in this respect.  I have all this info prior - what I am looking for is a contact with his descendants, or family.  His siblings have all passed - one of them was my grandparent.

Thank you again.  Regards - Dinny.

Hi Kelly – Your Ballymoney Pinkertons.  Does the surname Connolly enter the knowledge you have.
Do you know if any of your Pinkertons went to New Zealand?   Regards and thanks – Dinny.

Hi to Whitmore - Read your message in a hurry - Are you looking at Mann or Perry?  Regardless, I would like to hear from you again.   There were 3 sisters on the list I have - all Smiths.

I wonder if you got my last message of reply as the site has been completed by someone and your message came after that completion.    Regards - Dinny.
