hi sandrC
thanks again, I have a marriage of thos moore and nancy murton in keightly in 1880,keighley-accrington-salford seems reasonable but the clue is in robert
 T. moore my grandad was robt. thistlethwaite moore, and only one of them
seems to exist,my mum was born in pendleton in 1905 so i think i am on the right track. i see you have an interest in Southport we lived ther all our lives till we retired down to here. thanks again

mazi or rather mazi's husband-her typing is much better than mine she can even do capitals :) :)

my grandfather robert moore was born in keighley yorks in 1883. he married in oldham lancs in 1905. i am looking for his father thomas moore who was a
stationer, but cannot find a suitable thomas on 1881 census anywhere. since my grandfather had a lot of surplus items of stationery of some value all his life
i wonder if there is a connection with a samuel moore stationer listed in slaters 1879 directory in manchester.  can anyone find thomas with his son robert in 1901 in manchester salford or oldham, grtr manchester sprawls over three counties
