Yorkshire (North Riding) Lookup Requests / 1871 census lookup please - Missing Dennis's

Hello all,
Any help finding this family would be most appreciated.
I have them in all censuses except 1871.
Thomas Harland Dennis b. 1846 in Normanby, married Jane Smith (b 1851, Strensall)
They married 1869 in Normanby.
First child, Mary Jane Dennis b Dec 1869 Strensall
Second child Ann Eliza b. Jan 1872 at Stockton.
Think Thomas H Dennis must have died between 1872 and 1881, because children have been found in the York Union Workhouse in 1881, as "orphans".
(I haven't found his death though)
Their mother, Jane, was still alive in 1881 but working.
They all came together again in 1891, in Lancashire.
I have tried all combinations of names in the 1871 but have found nothing.
Perhaps a new pair of eyes will help?
