World War One / Ralph Senior - York’s & Lancaster Reg. Died 9 Oct 1917 Ypres?

Hi,
I’m trying to find information on Ralph Senior born 1890 Mexborough, Yorkshire.  He died age 27 on 9 October 1917.  He was a private in the Yorkshire and Lancaster Regiment.
I know there is a memorial for him at Tyne Cot Memorial but I was wondering if anyone had information on how and where he could have died? 
If he has a memorial does this mean they could not find his body for a grave?
We are hoping to visit Ypres sometime in the future.

Hi,

 My family and I are trying to find the parents of Thomas Slatter born 1807 Towersey (we think this was in Buckinghamshire but now under Oxfordshire).  He married Mary Clark.  His children were Noah, Esther, William born 1838 and Shem (that we know of).

We’ve searched the best that we can but can’t seem to find any birth record for him in Towersey.  If anyone could help find his parents this would a great help to us.

Hello Everyone,

I thought I had the parents names for Mary Ann Brock born 1823  Rickinghall Inferior, Suffolk but now I’m not so sure. 

I know it’s a John Brock and Mary (and after checking our records thought it could be John Marshall Brock and Mary Nichols from Lowestoft). 

Mary Ann Brock married William Palmer in 1844.  Their daughter Zilpha Maria Palmer was born 1849 Rickinghall Superior.

Please could someone check for me (if it’s not too difficult) to try confirm Mary Ann Brock’s parents?  It would be a great help to myself and my family.

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to find a birth record for a Peter Johnson who was born about 1802 in Haddenham to find out his parents names.

He married a Sophia Lee in 1828 in
Haddenham.

He died in 1878 Haddenham.

I’ve had no luck in find out his parents names.  Any help and assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to find a baptism and therefore the parents names for Hannah Cullum born 1781 (going by 2 census dates).  She married Bateman Ward in 1798 in Colchester, Essex.  They lived in Ipswich, Suffolk. 
On the census it says she was born Ipswich but I cannot find any birth record for her.  There is a birth in Norfolk for 1781 to parents John and Jane.  Could this be her?
I’m confused why she even got married in Essex as her husband was from Suffolk. 
If anyone could help solve this I would be most grateful as I’ve been searching for quite  a number of years and would love to be able to pass this information on to family.

Hello,
I’m trying to find the parents for George Morris born 1791 Doncaster, Yorkshire.
He married Sarah Hemingway in Wakefield in 1813 and one of their children was Joshua Morris born 1825.
He then lived in Wakefield area.
He died in 1861 Wakefield.
Any help to find his parents would be so nice as I’ve been looking for quite sometime now and it would be amazing to finally put names down on paper.

Armed Forces / William Griffiths, 83rd Battery of the 11th Brigade RFA March 1918

Hello Everybody,

We’re hoping to visit a great uncle’s war grave at Canada Farm Cemetery, Ypres in April.

William Griffiths was born 1891 in East Dean, Gloucestershire.  In 1911 he lived in Adwick upon Dearne, Mexborough, South Yorkshire.

He was a driver 165195 for the 83rd Battery of the 11th Brigade Royal Field Artillery.   He died whilst grooming a horse when a shell exploded near him.  He died on the 22nd March 1918 and he is buried in the Canada Farm Cemetery.  It says France and Flanders. 

I’ve tried to find out where he was injured/killed.  Does anyone know how I could find this information?  Would it have been Ypres or France? 

We’d love to go to Belgium knowing more information about where he fought and died to show our respects but I don’t know how to find this out.

Anybody’s help or advice would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Norfolk Lookup Requests / William Serjeant - Burial at Caister 1912 - a graveyard plan?

Hello everyone

I’ve found burial details, including grave number, cemetery section etc of William Serjeant.  He was buried at Caister on the 3rd December 1912, he was 60 years old. 

He lived in London but died in Yarmouth so was buried there. 

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get hold of a cemetery plan so I can locate his grave and also to see whether his grave had a headstone? 

The details are:
