Caernarvonshire / Griffith Roberts Portmadoc

Hi, trying to trace Griffith Roberts and family - I have his name from his daughter, Catherine Ann Roberts, marriage cert (1908) - where he's listed as builder. Family history has it that he built Port Madoc post office(?).
I have traced a Griffith Roberts in various censuses but occupation never given as builder. It would appear from these censuses - if I have the right Griffith (b c 1840) - that his wife may have been Ann, and other possible siblings of Catherine being John, Dorothy, Morgan and Laura.

Catherine Ann Roberts age on marriage cert. is given as 28 (ie b 1880) although we had assumed she was born 1886.

Can anyone help on this one?

Cumberland Lookup Requests / James Quirk 1815-1858 Whitehaven

Hi, Im looking for parents/siblings of James Quirk born Whitehaven 1815 (According to 1851 census when he's living in Workington - master carrier). He married Hannah Gibson (b 1817 Whitehaven) 1838 Q1 Whitehaven and they had 6 children. Have Hannah (widowed) in 71 census. Her father was a Peter Gibson c 1781 Whitehaven - found him only in 61 census - retired sail cloth manufacturer. One of James & Hannah's children were visiting him at time of census. Have not been able to trace Hannah's mother but again in 61 census there's a sister, Mary b c1821 Whitehaven).

Any help on either the Quirk or Gibsons would be great.

I have a Martha Fox born 1827 Dewsbury to Thomas Fox and Sarah (familysearch). Not sure if there were other children.

Martha married John Affleck in 1849 in Liverpool - marriage certificate gives Thomas Fox as Cabinet Maker. I seem unable to find either Thomas or Martha in the 1841 census and am also struggling to find a marriage for Thomas to Sarah. Not sure if Thomas also went to Liverpool or whether it was just Martha.

Any help on this Fox family much appreciated.

Norfolk / Kenny Family in Swaffham

I have a birth cert. for a Doreen Margaret Kenny born 20 Feb 1911 at Station St.Swaffham - parents Daniel Kenny and Edith Dawes. Daniel's occupation - Merchant.

If anyone has interest in this family, happy to forward the certificate which I ordered in error.

Ireland / Wolfenden K Burroughs

Any help on this greatly appreciated. Very little facts other than he wrote a book, published Dublin 1848 "Lectures on the Book of Genesis". Was Curate at Grange "Silvan"?? and Deacon in Cloyne 1817.

Believe his mother was Ann Kenny, born c 1754 in Queens, and we know her married name was Burroughs (Burrowes).

He had M.A. after his name so maybe he went to TCD.

Meath / Walker family of Meath

Hi all - I have a Gerald Leyns Walker marrying Emma Kenny in Norfolk in 1876. His address is given as Athboy Co. Meath, son of Gerald Walker Gentleman.
They must have moved back to Ireland before 1879 when their son Gerald Leyns Walker was born. In 1901 census this eldest son is Undergrad. T.C.D. (Do I assume this is Trinity College Dublin?). There is another son Reginald Henry born c 1882 and a dau. May Isabel born c 1883. By 1911 census G.L.Walker junior and May not with family.

Where is my best place to try and trace G L Walker jnr and also a possible marriage for May?

England / Attorney at Law

We have an administration document dated 1875 signed by a Robert Wolfenden Kenny "Attorney at law" - wondering if there are records or Law Society records that may give us more info on this R W Kenny.

As these family names are constantly repeated, we're trying to discover who this RWKenny belongs to.

Any ideas where to start looking?

Ireland / Kenny/Woodroofe

Looking for any help with this one please!
I have an Arthur Thomas Kenny (B 1855 Liverpool to Robert Wolfenden Kenny B c1814 Mountmellick) - who married Alice Emily Matilda Woodroofe 7.7.1880 Liverpool. On the certificate, address for Alice was Dundrum Co.Dublin. Father being Richard Woodroofe - Surgeon.
Arthur died in 1883 and cant find any census in UK for Alice after that. I have found the birth of a possible child of theirs - Arthur Wolfenden Kenny - born A/M/J 1881. Cant find him in any following censuses either. So Im wondering if Alice and child returned to Ireland.

Any ideas how to follow this up?
