On STV news today....
"Great news for people trying top trace their roots, the 1881 Census has now been released for public viewing".
Am I missing something here.??

Scotland / Three Marriage Entries

This is probably obvious to you seasoned researchers but can it be explained why there are three entries for the one marriage :-
1. MARJORY HENDERSON - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Female Marriage: 23 JAN 1859 Blackford, Perth, Scotland
2. MARJORY HENDERSON - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Female Marriage: 22 JAN 1859 Dunipace, Stirling, Scotland
3. MARJORY HENDERSON - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Female Marriage: 04 FEB 1859 Stirling, Stirling, Scotland

Scotland / Records Help please

Could some kind person do a records check for me.
I think I have found a connection but it will depend on the parentage of Helen Ferguson who was married to Robert Cullen on 28th April 1857, in the Parish of St Ninians or possibly the Parish of Kincardine.
Can you assist.

Inverness / Bracadale - Skye

While ancestor hunting on the Isle of Skye I reached the village that is marked on the map as 'Bracadale' but the sign at the side of the road as I entered the village did not say 'Bracadale', it said something else and I don't recall what it was.
Can anyone help.
I took this photo of the village, looking northwards, with Bracadale Parish Church in the foreground.

Stirlingshire / Peter Ferguson - Burial

Having read some of the amazing detective work that is carried out on this forum, I though I'd ask if anyone could help me out with this (one of many) brick wall.
I can't find a burial place for Peter Ferguson, born on 23 April 1915 to Robert and Janet (nee Stevenson) Ferguson, at The Sink, Nr. Bannockburn.
Peter died at the age of two on 9 April 1918 at Newpans, Parish of Tulliallan.
Robert had a brother, called Peter, who farmed at Newpans so I don't know if Robert was working there or just visiting.
Janet Stevenson was a native of Bannockburn (DOB 3-1-1895)
Robert belonged to the parish of Kincardine in Mentieth.
(Peter, who farmed at Tulliallan lost his son William, one day later at the same address.)
I have checked, by phone, with Stirling, Falkirk and Stirling cemetery departments but no one can give me a location of a grave site.
Can anyone help, or even point me in the right direction.

Family History Beginners Board / Putting It On Paper

Are there any hints and tips on how to go about writing your family tree in book form.
I am trying to do that but keep getting into a bit of a muddle when trying to keep info in sequence.
Is it better to start with myself and work back, or go as far back as I can and work forwards.

Would anyone care to have a go at adding colour to this photo taken about 1902.
I am using Photoshop 7 and had a go at it myself but what I need is to find some instructions on how it's done.
