Warwickshire Lookup Requests / Nutt/Cooke
« on: Wednesday 10 December 08 14:12 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find details of my husbands grandmother, She was born Catherine M Cooke 1925, mmn Nutt. I know the details of her marriage, (Frank T Webb 1948) but cant seem to get any further with her parentage, cant find a marriage for her parents ? Nutt and ? Cooke, i have reason to believe her father died and her mother remarried at some stage, but am not 100% on that either, this has become quite a bit of a brickwall. There is a lot going on in this family, illegitimacey, twins seperated at birth, you name it, going back a fair few years.
I know i need her birth cert, which is on the cards early next year, but wondered if anyone could help in the meantime and steer me in the right direction.
Thanks
Wendy.

Thanks for the reply, very true about posting living people here, i would hate for someone to post details about me. Although her parents have since passed away, her brothers and sister are still alive, and i'm sure they wouldnt want details posted.
She is buried in Glynneath Cemetery, was born in Neath, lots of the family were born in the same house, i havent been able to get in touch with the cemetery, although i have emailed wales central library to see if they can give me the info, which i doubt, or at least point me in the right direction.
It gets so frustrating when i have all dates for everything else except this, why didnt i pay attention when i was younger and asked questions. I have asked my grandad, but he doesnt remember any dates, just that he was kind enough to help save them money by agreeing to let the grave of my uncle be shared.
Thanks

Hi all,
i can by this site from a recommendation from another site. I am building a family tree, not just for myself but for my children too. I have got as far back as 1811 on my grandfathers side, and 1901 on my grandmothers side, but i am missing a peice of information, its not easy and have hit a brick wall on it. I dont really have a lot to do with my grandmothers side of the family, family feuds and such, also my family is a bit complicated, my parents were 1st cousins, which obviuosly caused problems within the family. I dont see my father so cant ask him. Now i have waffled, down to business.
My aunt had 5 children in total, sadly she lost a child, somewhere after 1949, i know this because the little girl is buried with my baby uncle who died March 1949, no headstone on the grave as money was tight, so cant get the dates from that. Her name seems to be causing a bit of a problem on searches, as no known child of that name was born or died within the timeline i have, so as assuming that her birth cert gives a different name than the name actually used. I searched every which way i can, subscribed to all sorts of sites and got no where.
Can anyone search for these 5 children for me or can they send me in the right direction to do it. I do have the names of a definate 4, its just 1 I and struggling with, if i had definate dates and a name t would be so much easier.

Many thanks
Wendy.xxx
