Hi,

This is my mum in 1949 when she was age 21.She's going to be 80 next month and I thought that with your help I could use this picture as front cover of a photo book that I'm going to make as a surprise for her. I'd be forever grateful if it could be improved in anyway. Thank you

Hi everyone,

I've just been given this photo of my late dad and his twin sister with his parents. I know that it's not too bad but I'm wondering if anyone would be able to improve it a little as it's a wee bit blurred. I didn't know that there were any photos of my dad as a baby until today and this is so special to me that I would be really grateful for anything that can be done. Thank you

Lancashire / Bank Street Cemetery, Bury?

Hi everyone,

I've found mention in a book published in 1893 of a tomb in Bank Street, Bury. I've googled and can find nothing about a cemetery there...can anyone tell me if there was one once or even if it is still there?

My 5x great grandfather's brother and some of his family are interred there..they came originally from Morayshire...and as I'm hopefully going to be in the area in about 3 weeks time, I'd love to visit it if I can find it.

I'd really appreciate any help/suggestions as I don't know the area at all...

My 5 x Great Grandparents were Alexander CLUNIE and Elizabeth PHILP who married 26 Jul 1755 in Markinch.
 
Their children (all baptised in Markinch) were -

Agnes born 8/7/1756 (my 4 x Great Grandmother)
John born 26/12/1757
Margaret born 8/3/1760
Robert born 31/1/1762
Andrew born 11/9/1763
George born 19/3/1765
James born 10/4/1767
Alison born 26/1/1769

Agnes married Alexander Loggie of Speymouth, Moray 26 June 1779 in Markinch and died in Fochabers, Moray in 1823.

This is my first venture into Fife with my family research and I'm not very familiar with the area...I'd love to hear from anyone who might have connections with this family  :)

It appears on a receipt for the War Badge and Certificate given to my Grandfather.
