Antrim Completed Look up Requests / Re: Glengormley House
« on: Monday 13 September 10 11:37 BST (UK)  »
 Dear Whitewell,
I was born, Belfast, 1942 and was brought up in the vacinity of Whitrwell/Glengormley as my parents liven in Moreland Avenue. My father new, and often visited a Mr Shelledy, the Company Secretary of the Laundry, who lived in one of the houses butting on to the rear of the Laundry. I also knew, and was friendly with Robert McGladdery who's father was the company electrician. My parents were friendly with Major and Mrs. James St. Clair Finlay of Whitewell Road. I in turn was friendly with Desmond Finlay (not related), Billy Dunlop, Whitewell Terrace and Jim Kelly who's father was a farmer. As I said in a previous entry I knew all the residents of Glengormley House.
Looking forward to your comments. In the meantime I'll see what I can unearth.

Yours, etc.,  Newgent.

I've seen John Graham's name on several of the deed agreements in the early 18th century in the title deeds of Louth records published within the Louth Historical/Archaeological society journals.

Dear Ian, Thank you for this wealth of information, which will take some time to absorb.

Hope that helps a bit.
Brendan

Dear Brendan, Thank you for this wealth of information which will keep me busy for some time.
I still need to know if there was any connection between this family and the Alexander Graham, Merchant of Dundalk, 1800-24th. April, 1851, son of Peter Graham, 1777-24th. Dec. 1846.
and father of John Graham, 1823-1865 and grandson of Alexander Graham, 1861-1942.

That'll do for me.

Thanks,  Newgent_for_life.
Baptism by immersion in water is normally and rightly carried out after a person becomes a follower of Christ Jesus. It does not make one a Christian; It is an outward expression of an inward conversion. The true baptism occurs in the heart.

    Yours, etc.,    Newgent.

My Dear Maryderry,
I am deeply indebted to you for finding this information for me that was sent by pm. The only reason I'm replying by posting is that it may help my ranking, which has been dormant for some time.
I have known of the address of David Glenny at North Road, Drogheda but never knew that his son Samuel M. Glenny returned to Ireland and Laburnum Turret, Drogheda.

Yours sincerely,

   Newgent.

Dear Glynn,
I am back at home and therefore in a better position to discuss the Graham Family tree and history, etc. I notice in your e-mail that you said you sent a   photo of Archibald and Catherine. Unfortunately it did not arrive. Don't be put of by this, as It can happen. It has happened to me. I suggest you get assistance from someone who is computer wise. Please let me know how much of the family tree you have to save me sending unnecessary information. There is another descendant of Archibald ( through his second son, John ) who has contacted me recently. His name is Ron Acton and he lives in Queensland. Do you know him?
Yours sincerely,   Newgent.

[quote author=glynnpd.  Dear Glynn, So glad to receive your communication and especially to find out that you are descended from Archibald and Catherine. I have quite a full family tree of Archibald's brothers and their descendents which I will gladly let you have. At the moment I am on holiday in England, but when I return to Ireland and get excess to my notes we can start to put the tree together.

Yours sincerely,   Newgent.

A simple question

The simple answer is that the Sacrament of baptism takes place after a person gets saved. Ref; Romans chap. 10 v. 9.  Authorized version Bible. Regardless as to whether they are married or not.
