George Forrest McNab Neilands was the eldest child & son of Willian Neillands & Catherine Glasgow Neilands born 6 Aug 1917, Doune Cottahes, Lower Oakfield, Kelty.. Died 1965 Santa Clara  California USA 94402.

I just paid some expensive credits to confirm the relationship.
George NEILLANDS married to Jane BLACKIE 1898 is the brother of William NEILLANDS who was married to Catherine Glasgow GUTHRIE 1916, so if you send me a PM I can share the details from Scotland's People.maybe you can fill be in on the Australian side.  Thomas Blackie
NEILLANDS was born at 64 Spring Gardens, Edinburgh Father's domicil was Station Master at Station House, Gorebridge.

Angus

Hi Heather,

Yes I would like more info such as where they married, when they divorced , etc.

Rootschat has a Private message function you can use after three posts.

I can then send you my details.

I hope to hear from you as I have been working on our family history for ten years now.

Yours Aye,

Angus

Many thanks to all who helped solve this puzzle.

It also bugs me that I missed Thomas, same name as father
When trolling thru the records in Edinburgh. Maybe it was the thought of a Guiness
was tip toeing my mind at the time.

Thank you all again,
Angus

PS now we can concentrate on solving the Janet Kinghorn Bell and Pat Banwell mystery
Especially as it relates to her daughter.

Thanks again for suggestions.  Yes it is possible that Anthony was not his first name.  Family memories are faint. All of his siblings are deceased.
The children were born in two year intervals starting with
William                     1912 Cocklaw Ayton U/r Coldlands Coldingham
Nessie (Agnes Anderson)1914 Auchencrow,Colldingham
Janet Kinghorn         1916 Foulden Bastle,Foulden, Berwick
John Yule                 1918 Foulden Bastle,Foulden, Berwick
Isa (Isabella)            1922 Auchencrow, Reston
Alexander                1924 Bellshiel, Edrom, Berwick
James                     1926 Bellshiel, Edrom, Berwick
Robert                     1928 Bellshiel, Edrom, Berwick
Nellie Yule                1931 Cosshall, Eccles, Berwick
So Anthony could have been a twin (which I missed going thru the records in Edinburgh) or born between 1918 and 1922. Again I didn't find him.  But family insist he did exsist and may have had a son
Thomas BELL.  I did not find an appropriate Thomas either.
A real live mystery.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
 no luck i am afraid.

The best guess was the dates I posted.

I also posted today a query regarding his sister Janet Kinghorn BELL
on the Canadian Irish and Berwickshire boards.

Any Information greatfully received.

Thank you for the links.

The Cord motor car suggests the Pat BANWELL who was a publican
was still in Earlston in 1954.

The second link was indeed her son's enquiry. He always thought
to his dying day, that she would come home to take hime away to a live of riches.

One of the sdaddest things I have seen is when Terrys mother "effects" were delivered to our house in Delta BC when Terry was here on holiday. He was never the same after this.
