Hi Christopher,
Thank you for the listings from Lennon Wylie site, Charles was my Grandad and Robert his brother. Thomas could have been his brother or his uncle, with out their ages I can't say which.
              Thanks again,

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the info. The Turkington family I am after are from Moira Down, but I will check out the website. So far I have Samuel, born 1865, emigrated to New Zealand, 1897.  Robert born 1867, Elizabeth, Isabella born1869,Charles born 1872, Thomas born1874, Oliver born 1877, Frank born1882 and Michael who emigrated to America in1907. There is one missing but there is only seven of them alive in 1911.  The parents, Robert & Anne, were married in 1860 and in 1911, Anne said that she had only been married for twenty years.
thanks again

Hi aghadowey,
I have tried the pilot search on LDS but it only tells you where the event was registered, and Lurgan is the place for Moira people to register. There is a lot of Turkingtons between Moira and Lurgan, so you can't pin point the townland in a search.

Thanks again for all of the input, I was pleasantly surprised. The IGI listing only gives six names for Robert and Anne (Woods) Turkington, in the 1911 census of Moira, there is an Anne Turkington 70 years of age living on her own. Anne says that she is a widow and had ten children, seven of whom are still alive, she also said she had been married twenty years. I know off at least three other children, But am wondering why they were not registered. I have not been doing this for long, would it be a help giving the information I've got?

Thank you for your time, I do have the IGI listing and she is down as a male, Belle left Ireland when she was sixteen, and I can't find any records of her entering America and settling in Chicago. Isabella, in later years told her grandchildren that she was born either going to or coming from Liverpool.
Moira is where the Turkington family is from. She was reported to be 104 when she died in 1965.
