Flintshire / Reginald Lewis
« on: Wednesday 09 June 10 15:02 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find details about Reginald Hardee Lewis who we believe died in an accident in Hollywell in 1922. His death was recorded as J/A/Sep 1922 age 19. Just wondered if there would be any report of his death in the local newspapers - any suggestion where to look would be grateful.

The Common Room / Parish Registers
« on: Thursday 25 February 10 22:09 GMT (UK)  »
I am hoping I am in the right department - looking up a baptism record on a transcript of a parish record it gave the birth date, the baptism date and then at the bottom it had a christening date. Can anyone tell me the difference between a baptism & a christening I always thought they were the same (maybe I am a bit thick!!)

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Pritchard
« on: Thursday 15 October 09 23:08 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for my grandmother, her mother was Emma Pritchard and her family lived in Roddington on the 1871 census. My mother insists she was born as Ada Boston but I have an inkling that she was illigitimate and born in Shropshire as Ada Pritchard in 1875/76 before moving to Liverpool. Emmas parents were William & Mary Ann Pritchard and her sisters were Jane, Hannah & Eliza.I am hoping someone could give me a helping hand as I have been looking for her for about 18 months.

Technical Help / Launcher ex-application error
« on: Wednesday 02 September 09 00:48 BST (UK)  »
Everytime I open up my computer I get this message:
The Application failed to initialize properly (OXC0000135). Click on ok to terminate the application.
I presume I have a programme open somewhere but don't know how to find it, can anyone help. I did try to download a programme to see if my broadband was working to the correct speed but I had problems with it so I uninstalled it - could it be something to do with that.
I am on Windows XP

Canada / Death Cerificate
« on: Tuesday 28 July 09 21:27 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone advise me - I puchased a copy of my grandmothers death certificate from British Columbia Vital Statistics Agency. She was Ethel Mary Lewis and she died in Prince George in 1964. The certificate I received only stated her name, date of death, age, birthplace and residence - no mention of cause of death - which is what we wanted to know. Is this a normal death certificate or have a got the wrong one? As she died in Canada and there was a bit of a fall out with family we never got to know what was the cause of death
Hope someone can help
