« on: Wednesday 20 June 18 10:12 BST (UK)  »
I can see on the index of FindMyPast ;
Sarah DUTTON 1706 Marriage Allegations and Bonds – Caverswall, Staffordshire.

I assume it was for a marriage to John PEAK.

Does that document mention if John PEAK was of Stone, Staffordshire?

Can anyone help me please?

Lincolnshire / John HOBSON buried 1784 - COMPLETED
« on: Saturday 02 June 18 21:41 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to interpret the below entry, especially the bracketed “Henry”.

The image is from the Parish Register of St Botolph, Boston, Lincolnshire
“Buried A.D. 1784 December 3. John HOBSON (Henry) Labourer Age 44”

Lincolnshire burials on FindMyPast have interpreted it as the father's name.

Can anyone help me please?

Regards
Grantley

If my research is correct, I have him of Driby, marrying 11 May 1762 at Driby, to Sarah ELAND of South Ormsby. I also have a Sarah HOBSON widow being buried St Botolph, Boston 16 May 1802 aged 60. That is close to Sarah ELAND who was baptised 6 Jun 1740 at Tetford.
They had children ;
Francis, Dinah, William & Sarah baptised at Raithby by Spilsby between 1763 & 1766
John, Maria, another John & George baptised at Sutterby between 1767 & 1771

Leicestershire / Stonesby 1660
« on: Wednesday 09 May 18 00:05 BST (UK)  »
It is not critical, but I would love to complete this line.

It is from the 1660 Will of “Robert HOTCHKIN of Stonesbie in the County of Leicester Gentleman”.

He wished “my bodie to be buryed in the parish church of Stonesbie under the stone at Robert R.... seat end”

Can anyone please help me complete this line?

Northamptonshire / Jane WHITE baptised 1735
« on: Wednesday 07 March 18 02:19 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace the ancestry of Jane WHITE (of the parish of St John the Baptist, Peterborough, Northamptonshire).

I have her marriage entry - 1758 April 18 James STANROYD of Wisbech & Jane WHITE of ye Par[ish] - B[anns]

On the index of ancestry.com, I can see a Jane WHITE, baptised 1735, Peterborough, St John the Baptist, Northamptonshire - which is a good match.

What I can’t see is the name of her parents (until I next revisit the library).

Can anyone please reduce my anxiety and let me know the names of her parents?

Regards
Grantley
