     I'm not having much luck...there seems to be a big age gap (12yrs) between Mary Ann + Julia
so possible, either or both John + Alice could have been married before.

Do you know when they wed?  According to G.R.O. birth reg's. Julia's mothers maiden name was
Simpson.
