Could this be a Indian Regiment, because I do have a relative who was in the Indian Army.

Thanks

Hi Colin,

THank-you god, I thought I had follwes it all wrong. Did you look at Mmary S Prewett christening date, they didn't add up. Unless she was christened older, because of her sins?
Had a reply back from Genes Reunited, Her Nellie, born Hammersmith, had a Jacob, and Florence. Still looking into that.

Hi Colin,

1871 census :RG10/0666/~F41

I know the family was coachbuilders. Also the name for Eliza Beeson, I got that name from someone who was researching Mary's sister, Emily Prewett, who was married to Dr Michael Anthony De quadros.
Although I have never been able to find the marriage cert, for Eliza and William.
William H Prewett, was previously married to Fanny Bishop.

1851 census :
HO107/1572/~F400

There is a christening record Mary S Prewett although not after she was born 24 Mar 1882 Parish: Emmanuel
Borough: Lambeth
County: Middlesex

William was dead then.

Hi Colin,

Now your confusing me.

Eliza Beeson (PREWTT) married William Henry Prewtt born c1823 Salisbury Wiltshire, died 1879, Lambeth.
Eliza was he;s second wife.
I have just gone onto Genes Reunited, and found a Nellie Prewett born 1896 Hammersmith, London. Going to e-mail, worth a try.
I think I need to leave you along for today.
I do appreicate all the time you have been using up on my post.
Thanks again

Karen

Hi Colin,

I see their son is a coach maker, Edwin. Mary s Prewett's father William H Prewett was aswell
Eliza Prewett was born in Somerstown.
But Arthur j compton was born in Hampshire?

The area they are living in seems to be where Eliza Prewett;s family lived. (nee Beeson).
Still maybe not convinced there is such a person, but a made up name, because of being unmarried.
Mary S Prewett, on every cenus and birth cert, she was either married, widowed, or formly somebody else.

Hi,

It did occur to me. Especially they didn't always go by there first names.
Who knows they could be anyone from numerous sources.
Needle in a haystack.
The problem is I have no relatives from the Prewett;s to confirm anything, only by records.
