Hi,

The area of the family is Lambeth, then Chelsea. The man could br Francis Prewett, with he;s mother Eliza Beeson.
If the dates don't match, not sure who it is.

Hi Jim,

You mentioned Nellie being short for Elizabeth. My nan was Helen, and everyone called her Nell or Nellie.
That;s how I have come to that conclusion.

Both could  be a possible. Further generations from Wilts, Glos. My nan's generation Chelsea, Westminster.
I am thinking that maybe the postcard was taken in a London backyard?

I thought it was FW. Still cannot find them on the census. Or if Jack is he's name or middle name. If Nellie is short for Helen.
Do ypu know where the hotel is? If it still exisists.
I appreciate any info given, if only little.

Nellie Prewett has written on the front of the postcard, as me. On the back my nan has written on the back, in pencil.

Sorry I don;t know if he had a brother. It is definately Jack. Bottom right written in pencil Jack. My nan was brought up by a Jack and Florence Prewett.
I just have photos of a family we knew nothing about, until my nan died.
