Herts Completed Lookup Requests / 1851-1841 Lookup Please
« on: Friday 17 June 11 13:33 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,
Could someone do a look-up please. I am having a problem trying to locate the ascendants of
a George Heady.

What I have at present is:
George Heady b abt 1808 Haultwick, Herts
married 1832 Mary Collis b abt 1814 Thundridge, Herts
They brought up a family during 1832-46

All census and family info state all born Haultwick/Little Munden.

There are no other previous Heady families in the Munden area except for an
Edith Heady listed in 1851 Census at Great Munden.
Could this be George Heady's mother? Which will give me the lead to where
he originally came from. There are other Heady families in nearby Barnet, Middlesex and Luton/Beds; but I have no definite links to any of them.

So, my question really is, would someone be willing to check the 1851 and possible 1841
census to find Edith Heady which might reveal a link.

Thanks for your time.

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Lookup Request Worcs
« on: Wednesday 25 May 11 21:46 BST (UK)  »

Hi All

Just a short note, four months ago I suffered a hard drive crash whilst making
back-ups, lost every file and just left with empty folders and an
operating system. (virus no - trojan from an image on website maybe)
I am now re-building the family database from scribbled notes and memory.
Hence this request. They may well be others in the coming weeks.

linell:
I don't think the family stayed in Staffordshire but many thanks for looking anyway.

keyboard86:
I think you have found them. The mysterious names that have been transcribed fill me with
amazement. I did think that maybe he was a gypsy, boatman or worked for the railways.
It appears Albert never stayed in the same place more than ten years.

From my scribbled notes I have found:

Albert IMM b 1855 Lydney Gloucs
Father: Joseph IMM b abt 1826 Lydney Gloucs
Mother: Ann

Albert IMM b 1855 married Eleanor HADDOCK 1874 Kidderminster, Worcs

Whats puzzling is their daughter Frances E b 1876 Kidderminster no birth ref found.
There is a marriage for an Ellenor IMM in 1902 Kidderminster which could be her.

Many thanks for taking the time to help with this. It's much appreciated.

Jim

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Lookup Request Worcs
« on: Wednesday 25 May 11 14:10 BST (UK)  »

Would someone be kind enough to do a lookup please. Any help would be gratefully received.

I know they were born in Staffordshire but, they appear to have lived in Worcestershire 1891-1906
when they next appear in Monmouthshire. It is the period 1881 and before (parents, address,
occupations and other siblings if poss.) that I cannot find or connect to these three.

What I have is:

Ada IMM b 1882 Wolverhampton married 1904 Kidderminster (Ada is my Great Aunt)
Albert W IMM b 1885 Wolverhampton
Reginald IMM b 1887 Wolverhampton

Although, the name IMM would appear to be "unique" there are lots of them in Gloucestershire.

IMM (pun intended) really stumped with this one.

Thanks in advance

Jim

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Maria Hutton b 1857 Stourport, Worcs

Hi trish,

Thanks for your reply and info.

I dont think James Rogers Lee age 2 in 1871 is Andrew/Sarahs Son.
More likely a Grandson.
Birth Reg;
James Rogers LEE, March 1869, Bromsgrove, 6c 418

this is puzzling?  James Rogers Lee is with someone else in 1881 census. aged 12.

Were Andrew and Sarah foster  parents? or looking after him for someone. Who knows

What is even more puzzling is:
Sarah is listed in all censii as being born at 1851 at Brocken ,1861 at Burton, 1871 Broseley, and 1881 at Much Wenlock all near Telford, Shrops.

There is a christening at Brockhurst, Shrops of a Sarah Roberts
on 17-Sep 1820 Brockhurst, Shrops
Father: David ROBERTS
Mother: Sarah ROBERTS (LDS site). This may be her. Needs further investigation.

In 1861 Mary Hutton is listed as Grand Dau in later censii she is listed as daughter.
I believe she is the daughter of son John b abt 1838

Kind regards.

Jim

Could someone do a look-up please.

I'm looking for the family of Maria HUTTON b 1857 Stourport, Worcs
in the 1861 and 1851 census, parents, siblings etc.if at all possible.

What I have at the moment is:

From the 1881 Census at Kidderminster
George Willey 30 Married (No wife listed)
Alfred A. Willey 1
Maria Hutton 24 Boarder

From the 1891 Census at Kidderminster
George Willey 45  Married (No wife listed)
Alfred A Willey 11
Henry Willey 9
George B Willey 2
Maria Hutton 34 Boarder

From the 1901 Census at Kidderminster
George Willey 54 Married
Maria Willey 44
Henry Willey 20
Geo Willey 12

George married Maria between 1891 and 1901, no marriage reference found.
Maria Willey died 1907 Kidderminster aged 50
Both are missing from the 1871 Census - Overseas? (unlikely), in jail?

Thanking you in advance.

Thanks for all your help.... I didn't think any of this was possible.

The listing as grandmother had me beat for ages.... I'm not convinced
that she is any relation.

It will give me something to chew over...

And thanks again for your help, it is much appreciated.
Kind regards

In view of the previous info and just a thought. is it possible that Sarah Hall or Halls is at the same address, ie Crooked Mile and the Grove family are the lodgers?

(I am familiar with the area, living very close by)

From memory, the Groves moved about 3 miles away to Lea Road in the 1891, 1901 and 1911
Census where they had a larger family (one of his daughters Rosa May, is my wife's paternal grandmother)

Thanks for all your help so far.
