Aislin,

Love the "fade-out" effects ... make her look all cuddly ...

It's great to think that I can now send back all these photos to my "new long-lost-found cousin" who so kindly "introduced" me to Kate.

SA,

Just beautiful!

p.s. scan was somewhat unintentional ... but I'm improving  :P

by Kate's age, I should have it all under control   ::)

She's trying hard not to smile  ;D

Sorry for the "cut-off" version of Kate.    :-[    it's all we have left!

But I know that this can easily be fixed by your expert hands.

Just adore her hair! Isn't she just the perfect old "Victorian" lady  :D

Thank you, everyone
Ann

Thank you Aislin,

We can now see things! (except the hens that the family apparently kept in the back yard)  ;D ;D

Have a good evening

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Poor quality scan begging for help

Please everyone, DON'T waste your time if nothing can be done ...

I found this image in an old book on Newton Heath & already the original was in very bad condition ... scanning has not improved matters. Can anything be done to make the scene cleaner & sharper? If not, don't worry!

The old family home from the mid-1880's thru' to sometime in the mid-1900's is next to the church ... the Manor Inn mentioned (across the road) came into the family later on thru' marriage ...

I never believed that I would stumble on such a document ... have been gazing at it ever since it arrived this morning ... going dotty in my old age  ;D

Good weekend to you all
Ann

Hi Woody!

I have a Victoria One Penny!  :o :o :o

ONLY, it's mauve, hihihi ... on the bottom of the Original Marriage Certificate of my gg grandparents, the document is in 4 pieces (mother's cellotape did not pass the test of time) but Victoria is in perfect condition (she hasn't taken a wrinkle since 1888 - wonder how she does it  ;D)

Cheers
Ann

I have been so lucky and so spoiled by you and all the others ...

Thank each & every one of you ... I don't really know how to express my joy
