Almost certainly not...........!
If you're not happy about installing/uninstalling system software then it's right to not go digging.
Best left to someone with experience.
I had the problem with the mousepad - the cursor worked perfectly using a plug-in mouse.
Just a thought..........

Thanks to Janette of NZ for highlighting this nifty little free prog'.:

It checks your Family Tree Gedcom for data errors (births/marriages before deaths, and other typo's!), and even has a tab which lists your top level ancestors, so all your brickwalls/end of line ancestors are shown on one page, among others.
Very useful.
And did I say it was free..........?

I use a separate mouse (just easier to work with), but when I used the mousepad on this HP lappy I had the sticking problem too.
What worked for me was uninstalling the mousepad in Device Manager (Win7>Start>Control Panel>System>Device Manager), then rebooting the computer so it reinstalled the driver.
I sorted a loss of sound using the same method.

Very int'restin'............
After sitting there in the tray quite peacefully for the last month, my invite icon disappeared overnight too. I know it's nothing I've done.
I reckon MS read my intention to decline on another thread, and decided to withdraw the offer........!

I haven't used a streaming site 'cos my mobile BB is fairly limited, but have you looked at YouTube?
I've had a quick look and there seems to be quite a few full length movies on there.
Not sure if that's what you're after, but it is, as you ask, free!

From what I've read this morning I believe security updates are available till 2020 for Win7 (on this lappy), but I'm still very happily using XP on the PC!
