Can anybody give me an explanation why these ancestors moved around the country so much.
Joseph Redburn b1860 - Darlington,Durham
married Mary Ann Evans b1847 - Peterchurch, Herefordshire.
married 18th February 1890 at St. Bartholomews Church Salford.
He was a fellmonger and she was a servant and they both lived at the same address in Salford.
By 1897 they were living in Lancaster, where their 3 children were born:(information from 1911 census)
Margaret Ann b 1897
Desdemona B 1904 (my husbands mother)
Leonard b 1907
I don't know where they were in 1891 in that years census.
They both died in Lancaster as far as I know.
I find it hard to understand how somebody from Darlington, could meet somebody from Hereford and get married in Salford, then move to Lancaster.
Any clues anybody?
