Birth cert for Mary Connor gives place of marriage as 1859 Castle Blaney, Co Monaghan,
Castle Blaney is a town close to Cornamucklagh,
I had another look at Patricks birth cert, there is a word before Co Monaghan but i can't quite make it out, i might post it in the Hand Writing board later.
I think we're very close to a conclusion on this search.

There is one other death. Possibly a sister:

The story is starting to come together now,
My G/Grandparents, James Docherty and Margaret Gallagher were married in 1879,
Margarets parents are listed as Daniel Gallagher, Farmer, and Ellen Gallagher M.S.Connor.
Witnesses to the marriage were, Owen Connor and Bridget Mcoll,
Thanks to the 1921 Census I found out my G/Grand father was from Derry and my G/Grandmother was from Cornamucklagh Co Monaghan.
I was able to trace the Gallaghers to the 1901 Irish Census where Daniel Gallagher was still living with his son Hugh in Cornamucklagh,
I'd like to find out if the Gallaghers and the Connors are from the same or near townlands in Co Monaghan.
I'll park it here for the night as my brain is starting to scramble,

From Owen's death reg, father you mention was Thomas. What was the maiden name of his mother? Have you double checked the name on Owen's marriage reg to Elizabeth. Often better the marriage than the death for accuracy!

Owens mothers maiden name was Winters on both Marriage and death certs.

« on: Friday 23 December 22 23:09 GMT (UK) »Thanks Debra,Thomas' father Owen was married twice, first wife was Ann Hoy, I presume they married in Ireland and had Thomas before they moved to Glasgow, second wife was Elizabeth Boyd who is the mother of the rest of the children, all born in Glasgow. place and date of marriage, 1873, High Church Glasgow.
You can see from the 1871 census and the ages of the children that Ann is the mother of Patrick and Mary. The birth certs should give a date and place of marriage.
Thomas is 11 in 1871 and 16 in 1881, how old did he say he was when he married the first time? What religion were they?

I bought the birth cert for Patrick and it shows Owens marriage to Ann Hoy as Co Monaghan.

« on: Friday 23 December 22 20:22 GMT (UK) »From the death index, Anna's mother's maiden name not shown (it may not be recorded). Owen shows his mother as Hunter.Owens mothers maiden name is Winters, S.P. has indexed it as Hunter, his father is listed as Thomas Connor, farm labourer, deceased.

I tried to find out if Owen had any siblings in Glasgow at the time of the 1921 Census, i found a Thomas Connor living in Bridgeton with a birthplace of County Monaghan, i did a search of Connor with mothers maiden name of winters and got a match for Thomas( Owens brother),(too many Thomas' in this family). i'm hoping to find a townland in Monaghan for the Connors but owen died before the 1921 Census and I can't locate his son since the 1901 Census.
I did a search for Ann's death cert but couldn't find a match, the nearest i could see was aged 36 in Central district.

I've had a better look at the baptism entry on my laptop, I think you're spot on with it, i can make out all the entry except for the female sponsor, Catherine ??, the male sponsor is John Doherty, I wonder if that is James' brother?the reason i'm wondering is the names James and John run through my family from myself and my brother James, my father was James and his brother was John, my Grandfather was James and he also had a brother named John, now my great grandfather James, did he also have a brother John?
It's hard to tell if the entry in the 1831 census for George Dougherty has a connection to James' family, there is no mention of the name George being passed down through the generations of Dohertys in Glasgow.

James was R.C. as far as i know, on his marriage cert he was married in Savoy street Glasgow, also on the cert it states "married according to the forms of the Roman Catholic church"
