Looking for somebody who might remember the matthews family from Euston street greenore. The family lived I believe at either 27 or 29 Euston street before emigrating to England in the 1950's. The family consisted of Benny Head of the house. Rosh wife. * eldest son, * eldest daughter, *, and last but not least (*) born in 1949. Any information concerning members of the family would be greatly appreciated.

:)Taken from the 1911 census of Ireland. My family resided at 72 Castletown road Dundalk at the time of the census. William Mathews head of household. Rose Mathews wife. Bernard Mathews son. Mary Cathleen Mathews daughter. Bridget Brady Boarder. Jack Brady boarder. Arthur O'Hare nephew. Annie O'Hare niece. William was my grandfather and Rose my grandmother. Bernard was my father who was one at the time of the census. He went on to marry Rosaleen Holland . Both Bernard(Benny) and Rosaleen (Rosh) are now deceased. If you recognise any of these names then please post a reply as it will help me enormously in tracing other family relatives who might be able to shed some light on other family members, both on the mathew's side as well as the Holland side.

Rose Hoey and Joseph were my Great Grandparents and Patrick Holland and Mary Roddy were my Grandparents, on my mothers side(Rosaleen Holland my mother deceased)I am led to believe that a graveyard in Maraclone, Mullaghrafferty, county Monaghan which is the graveyard at St Patricks has family gravestones. Would anybody who lives near or knows of this graveyard please take a look to see if their are graves marked with any of the above names? Would be very obliged for any infomation.

« on: Saturday 11 September 10 11:23 BST (UK) » Hello Emms.My family lived in the Dundalk area before moving to England in the early 1950's. I have discovered that Joseph Holland and Rose Hoey were my great grandparents on my mothers side. I have a Photocopy of the marriage certificate of Joseph Holland and Rose hoey dated September 29th 1890 listing Joseph Holland as a postman who resided at Blackrock, whose fathers name was Nicholas Holland Deceased who was listed as a farmer. Rose Hoey was listed as being a resident from Mullaghearafferty, and whose father was listed as being a James Hoey deceased, he was listed as being a farmer.
Hope this helps, even if it does not help it is still good to talk.

Any members of the Matthews family excluding relatives in the sydney area that i am already aware of. Did you or someone with the family name of matthews leave Ireland, the Dundalk area to be precise. I cannot give dates because I do not have any.
