Hello Manchester Rambler,

Thank you so much. I sent for Christiana Wilkinson's death certificate and it is the right one!!!!! It states that she is a widow so now I will search  for Edmund's death between 1841 and 1851. The Informant was Dorothy Wilkinson who is someone who I have not come across before. She lived in Sovereign Street, Pendleton, but I think that is in the area that was damaged in the 1851 census returns (as was Ford Lane ,where Christiana lived!!!)

Thank you again for your help. I have been searching for this info for ages without success and you and rootschat solved it in days.

Hello diddymiller,

Thank you for your help too. I am assuming that Great Ellingham is fairly near to the Garvestone area, as Edmund and Ann seemed to live their lives there.

Thank you again.

Hello Yorkslass,

Thank you for your help. I looked on the site you sent me and found  the other children. I only knew about Edmund and Ann-Maria, so thank you again.

Norfolk / Chaplin and Lansdale family

My 4xGreat Grandparents were Edmund Chaplin and Ann Lansdale. Edmund was 84 when he died in 1846 in Garvestone and Anne died in 1845 aged 84 in Yaxham.
I think they may have married in Diss, but I have no proof of this. They had a son Edmund  and a daughter Ann-Maria born around 1798. She married Henry Fellows.
Can anyone help me with this family?

My 1x Great Grand Uncle was found dead in Goswell Road, in June 1898. He had taken cyanide. His wife died in September 1897 and they had 5 children. Can anyone advise me on finding an Inquest report?

Hello Mike from Leicester,

Wow, Thank you so much for all the info. They were certainly a healthy bunch, all living to a good age!!

I feel a long trip to Leicestershire is needed and a few weeks locked into the Record Office! If you come across any more about the Whitcrofts I would be very grateful.

Thank you again Mike.
