Hello dp66,

Thank you again for all that info. It sounds much more likely that John may be my 4x Great uncle. The pages you sent me were so interesting. I wish I lived in Leicestershire!  If you find out anything else about the Whitcrofts I would be very grateful, but thank you for all your help so far.

Hello dp66

Thank you for your email which is very interesting. Do you have any idea when John Whitcroft lived in your house, as he could have been my 4xGreat Grandfather? I will certainly go to the visitors centre at Bradgate Park, thank you for that info.

It was great to hear from you.

John Nugent O'Shea and Mary Ellen Gallagher had 4 daughters, Mary Ann, Ellen, Bridget, Jane and 1 son, Laurence, my 1xGreat Grandfather. I believe all the children were born in England. Laurence was born in Chelsea, London in 1865. On Laurence's birth certificate John is down as John O'Shea but when John remarried in 1896 he is called John Nugent O'Shea and also on his death certificate in 1899.

I went to Ireland in 2009 but with no luck at all. I have found some Nugents in the Cork area with land but I am not able to connect with any. If only I could find John's birth in 1839 ish but again no luck!

I have 5 lines where I am stuck, all in Ireland!!! It would be great to find a connection between us, then we could bang our heads on the same brick wall!

Good Luck

Hello Dale

I haven't found a William George Farren in my family but you never know!!!

Farren is quite a popular name in Coventry, Warwickshire in 1800's.

I will keep a look out for William George. Good Luck with your searching.

I am searching for the baptism of my 2x great grand uncle, William Farren born 1810. I believe him to be the son of William Farren and Esther Herbert. I can find the baptisms of his siblings, Henry, Elizabeth, John, James, Sarah ( my 2xGreat Grandmother), Nathaniel ,Herbert and Ann, but no William! They were all born in Coventry.
I would be grateful for any help. Thank you

Hello Manchester Rambler,

I have sent for the 1849 certificate for Edmund Wilkinson and I am fairly sure that again you have found my 3xGreat Grandfather.  Thank you.

This Edmund died from a fractured skull after falling off a ladder, so unfortunately there is no family informant, only the Coroner. However he is the right age (ish), lives in Pendleton and is a Stonemason. Do you think there is  any chance that the accident might have been reported in the local newspaper? If so should I ask on the lookup page as I live "down south" and would need some help!!

Thank you again for your help.
