Hi again Plevna, nice to hear from you, hope your tree is blossoming.
I've recently discovered the Toxteth Park grave of Charles Holmes & Elizabeth (Blakeman) Holmes also holds the remains of Samuel Holmes aged 52 d1929. Lucy Jones nee Holmes aged 23 d1918 & her son John Frederick aged 13mths d1918. Also Lucy May Larkey aged 5yrs d1918. What a tough year 1918 was for the family. :'(

Best Wishes to all members.

Hi Moco, as you can see I haven't posted for some time. Thank you for confirming the Clark/Skiffington link..I do have that marriage cert, it's good to know it's the correct one. I'm on Anc' if you'd like to have a look at the tree. I'll now be able to fill out Elizabeth's branch, thank you. If I can help you, get in touch via personal message. :)
Many thanks.

Hi Allan, thanks to you too and everyone who has helped. That's about as far back as I'll get with the Clark/Skiffington line...Alexander was born Scotland, father David. Mary was from Ireland, father John. I'm very happy with the final result.
Cheers.

My oh my, I've just realized how much it's cost, I have so many. :o Going to the RO's for info has helped, the cost of travelling etc not taken into account.
I recently found 2 copies of death certs amongst WW1 service records...freebies!  ;)

Hi Shaun & Andy,
Just had a reply from Wirral reg off...the register entry was rather illegible but on closer inspection it could read as Daisy Grove with surname Boase they are going to send me an amended cert.  ;)
Thanks again.

Thanks Andy, yes I did get it from Wirral R O, must send them an email to find out for sure.
Will also pay a visit to the libraries that you suggest, maybe find his resting place at long last.
Many thanks to you both. :)

Lancashire / Re: William Henry Boase L'Pool, where did you go?
« on: Monday 05 September 11 16:35 BST (UK)  »
Shaun you're a hero...I was beginning to doubt myself, until you mentioned Edwin with the Dales, well found!  ;) I'm guessing the deceased comment on the marriage cert of Fred Boase & Sarah Helm must have been a slip up.

 Thanks for your time.

Oh thanks. Trouble is I couldn't find William Henry Boase (printer compositor) on the 1881 or 91. He remarried an Emma Beavan in 1886 L'Pool, after his first wife Rebecca died. Was so pleased after lots of research to finally find his address.
Thanks for link.

Hi Shaun, the address on death cert has Daly Grove. Having said that, the surname Boase wasn't spelt correctly...Boarse,  :-\ luckily the occupation nailed him as the correct one.
 Thanks for help.

Cheshire / Where was Daly Grove Seacombe? *COMPLETED* thanks
« on: Monday 05 September 11 10:13 BST (UK)  »
Just discovered my ancestor's address when he died in 1899 was Daly Grove, Poulton Cum Seacombe, Wallasey. I have looked on google maps but it isn't there. Does anyone know roughly the whereabouts in Seacombe? Also, which cemetery would be likely for this address?  Welcome any help please.
