Australia / Henry Minchin - convict 1840-1850
« on: Tuesday 20 August 19 02:53 BST (UK) »
Henry Minchin was convicted at Tewkesbury Gloucestershire quarter session 31 Dec 1839 to ten years transportation for stealing a 50/- bank note.
I can see he was taken to NSW aboard "Eden", receiving some medical treatment on the way, arriving 18 Nov 1840 and that he got his ticket of freedom 18 Feb 1850. Thereafter I can't locate him.
My Henry Minchin was baptised 1 May 1814 to Richard & Hannah (nee Strange) Minchin in Crudwell Wiltshire.
Can anyone find anything to make the connecton please?
