Another death to consider perhaps as the marriage for Susana and James in 1797 in Wokignham has been recorded as Anna James and James Palmer 11th Nov 1797 elsewhere.

Death: Ann Palmer aged 71 Dec Q 1842 Bradfield Union vol 6 page 89

Have you considered these?

Marriage: James Palmer and Susanna James 1797 Wokingham Berkshire (approx 2.3 miles from Hurst)

There's this death but the age doesn't fit (maybe a transcription error): Susanah Palmer aged 33 Sept Q 1842 Bradfield Union Vol 6 page 97

If you have access to Ancestry this tree looks well researched:

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/3433649/person/-226361202/facts

The family are recorded as Palmen in 1851 living at 31 Coley Street St Mary Reading.

ADDED: The tree above states that the marriage took place on the 8th December 1866 and that the information came from the marriage certificate so it might be worth trying to contact the tree owner to see if he can help.

Yes Rosie, Rebecca (Rebekah) Thatcher married Samuel Shorter in Cookham in 1812, Samuel died in 1828 and Rebecca then "married" Richard Barker and had 3 children.

Berkshire Lookup Requests / Looking for a marriage possibly Cookham/Bray 1828-1832

Hi,

I'm looking for a marriage between a Richard Barker and a Rebecca Shorter possibly in the Cookham/Bray/Maidenhead area about 1828-1832. I've looked on Ancestry, FindMyPast and Familysearch, no joy so am wondering if someone might have access to parish registers for the area that might be able to help me.

Kind regards
Chris
