The person I am looking for lived in Wolverhampton, which I think comes under Staffordshire, and died in about 1980.
I looked on freebmd and I found a birth and a marriage but I couldn't find their death record. I also looked on family search website but I couldn't find them on there either.

The family bible of my 3xgreat grandfather is still in my family. It was started in 1843 and records the dates and times of birth of all his children. It also contained the births of his second wife's children from her first marriage. It was bequeathed to his eldest daughter in his will of 1889. I saw it once and I took some photographs of it. It has a leather binding/cover which is partly worn away and it has embossed patterns on the spine along with the words Hoy Bible. When I was looking through it I found the funeral card for my 2xgreat grandmother who it had been left to from 1907.

When looking at some of the words inside the bible I noticed that some of them were spelt in a sort of strange archaic way. The word here is written as hear and Friday is written as Fryday.

the release of the civil records for Ireland has renewed my interest in this side of my family history, but I am still stuck behind a brick wall and can't get any further back. My great grandmother Mary Donovan was born in 1870 in Cork to Maurice Donovan and Hanorah Kelly. She moved to Wales where she Married my great grandfather Patrick Field in about 1901. Hanorah Kelly and Maurice Donovan got married  in 1865. My great grandfather Patrick Field was born in 1863 in Cork to Eugene Field and Ellen Mcswiney. I have found baptisms for his siblings John, William and Johannah and a possible marriage for Eugene and Ellen in 1855. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could further my research?

I'm a bit disappointed so far. The only records I have found are the same as the ones they have on https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/. It's strange because I found a transcript of a marriage of one of my ancestors on the family search website and it had a lot more information on it. I was hoping to see a copy of that but no luck so far.
