I may have asked for help with this photo in the past...but maybe technology has changed since then so will ask again. Is there any way to resize this thumbnail so it is visible? This is the only photo I have of this great uncle and it would be very much appreciated. I don't expect miracles...just somewhat larger would be a help. I have no idea how I ever got this digital file. Thanks,

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Some holes in 1776 Halder LWT
« on: Wednesday 17 April 19 16:35 BST (UK)  »
Mostly transcribed but a few holes as shown in attachments. Any help much appreciated. I'm sorry that these are the best images I have. I know they are pixilated.

Hello all - I just need confirmation of what the signature section of this marriage allegation from Yorkshire says. It is the marriage between Joseph MERRY and Jane JENNINGS. He is age 36, she is age 26 I think. And it appears they either resided in Huttons Ambo or Crambe...or the marriage took place there. Also, what would have been the role of John Lambert and maybe Mr Hooke?

Many thanks,
Louise in California

Remainder of the gaps in this LWT.

Many thanks as always!!!

This is the last one for a bit until Borthwick provides more. Frances is the widow of one Michael Merrie (surname spelling varies MERRY, MERRIE, MERREY, etc depending upon who is writing it) whose LWT was written in 1626. As far as I can figure using available sources, they had children:
William, Elizabeth, Isabel, Frances, Walter and Roger.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Gaps in LWT of Robert MERRY 1592 PART 1
« on: Wednesday 13 February 19 06:39 GMT (UK)  »
Yet another MERRY LWT as I try to sort out this family from Lockton, Yorkshire. This first part is just the standard preface, but I can't make out some of it, so am asking for your help please. The second part I will post separately. Thank you all.

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Gaps LWT of Richard Merry Lockton 1594
« on: Tuesday 12 February 19 20:42 GMT (UK)  »
Looks like this LWT was created by "word of mouth" and later put into writing. I got a good deal of it with only a few gaps. I hope the way I am submitting is easier than my last request.

I may be doing something wrong because I tried to copy my transcription in the body of this message, but the "endlines" got all out of order which I know makes transcription difficult. So, I am attaching both the transcription and the original document as image files.

Thank you,
