Essex Lookup Requests / WRENCH in Great BADDOW
« on: Tuesday 28 September 10 00:01 BST (UK)  »
Would someone be able to look up any information relating to the name of WRENCH in Great Baddow?
I have a Susannah Halls nee' Wrench on an 1851 Census in Shoreditch, Middlesex, she is aged 68 (b abt 1783). It says she was born in Gt Baddow, Essex. It is highly probable that her father was called Thomas as I have found a baptisms for her children that name the paternal Grandfather as Thomas Wrench.
Thanks
Sue

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Finding a death 1918 - 1924
« on: Wednesday 08 July 09 19:11 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone help with finding a death for me?

I have searched without success trying to find the death of my dads brother charles edward HALLS. I have found a birth for him in 1905 and he exists on the 1911 Census as Charles Edward HALLS living in Lower Clapton. I know he was alive in 1917 in Leyton as my father told me and there is a photograph of dad and his brother with their father Charles Edward Halls in 1917 prior to his going to Flanders and getting killed. My father who was 5 years his junior said he died in his teens. He said he did work at some stage on delivery vans so my guess is he was alive at the age when one could first work ? 14 ? 16. I know he had died prior to July 1924 as that was when my dad went to work in Canada on the farms. So there is a period from 1919 - 24 when he could have died.  Charles mother Helena Maria HALLS remarried in about 1922 n West Ham and became surname Pullen. If it help my father was bertram frederick HALLS

I have searched ancestry and find my past with no luck any help much appreciated :) :)  Sue
