Hi Luzzu

I have found a Catherine and Patrick Mawloney and as you suspect the surname has proberly been mispelt.
Stephen also had a brother Patrick who came to Maesteg with him and married. my nan spoke fondly of her Uncle Paddy.

As a matter of interest where did you find details of the house?
thanks
Angela

Hi
It was a local accident in Maesteg Glamorgan, where Stephen lived.

There must have been an inquest at the time but I cannot find any.

Regarding the census I cannot find any trace of Stephen in Lancashire 1880 census with parents Catherine and Patrick.

Good news! Roscommon Office rang me today to clarify something and certificate in post and it does appear that Richard Snr and Catherine are my great great grandparents  ;D

Carol is it possible that you have a copy of the marriage cert I can have?
Are you on Ancestry.co.uk
