thanks,will have to find out if the credits have a limited lifetime which some genealogy sites have or they can be used anytime.If they have to be used within a certain time,will have to get a list of households together to use them up cos as you say they ain't cheap.

yes just found Albert Edward Jnr on Free BMD, puzzled about the age 24 in 1911 census for Albert Edward Snr though. This would make his birth year 1887 and I have him down as born March 1890 in cheshire BMD BLK/1/1 (Blackpool).Will have to buy some credits for the 1911 census.Do you know if it's cheaper through Findmypast.com which I am a member of,or through the 1911 census website by any chance.

Hi Carole/ I don't have access to the 1911 census, but it must be Albert E Eden aged 24 surely and is the Albert (C or E) another sibling of Herbert,if so will have to look him up.Can I be cheeky and ask the address,I assume it is in either Longsight or Chorlton-Upon-Medlock both in Manchester.   Brian.

Thanks to everyone for the information supplied re: Herbert Eden's birth/marriage dates.I have tried without  success on Lancashire/Cheshire BMD,and IGI with no success, but will now try Free BMD to find Herbert's siblings.Once again,thank you.  Brian carter.

Hi and Thank you Mo.Sadly,they have both passed now,and I think the son
(*) if still alive was last heard of living in Fleetwood but that was over 15 years ago.I will have to do some more digging now to find out in which church they were married. Brian.

I'm looking for the marriage of a Marian Carter b 1923 in Manchester (Chorlton 8c 1256) to a Herbert Eden whose birth record I don't have sometime round about 1950 and I presume in Manchester.They had a son
(*) in the mid to late 50's,so I assume it was in the late 40's or early 50's.Thanking you in anticipation.  Brian Carter.

Hi Migky,sorry if I misled you but I was told he died in 1965,the same year as Winston Churchill but obviously somethings wrong.The death that Groom has given me (10E 66) is more promising but I will have to take a trip to the cemetery and check the headstone for the other members of the family that are on it to verify it.Sadly,all of my aunts and uncles have passed so there is no way of veryfying the death year,but he was definitely born in 1885 as I have a copy of his Birth Certificate it''s just the details of his death I need to tie this member of the Family Tree up.Once again,thanks.   Brian.

 Hi Migky.this can't be the same man as he is only 71 when he died which would make his birth year to be 1894,and as he married in 1907 (I have a copy of his marriage certificate) he would have  had to be 13 when he married, so obviously not the same man,but thanks anyway. Brian.

Where did you find this entry,as I cannot find it on Free BMD or Lancashire BMD,also the site given me by MancsMan gives me a John Carter buried 24/3/1965 in Southern Cemetery in the Roman Catholic section (which is the right religion) Grave No:1152, Position 1 but I still need some kind of reference to order a death Certificate as the year is spot-on.  Brian.
