Hi Amondg,

Thanks for the reply.

I have assumed (bad thing to do!) that he was baptised there as his parents (as far as I know) moved from Tharston to Wymondham where they (possibly) died. You gave thrown a lot of doubts about him now as you say he wasn't baptised in Wymondham. Looks as if I will have to start all over.

Hi  Yokel,

William was baptised 1706, but could have been born 2, 3 or four years before, that is why I wrote circa 1705.

Norfolk / William COOK of Wymondham

Hi,

I have my husband's 6 X G Grandfather William COOK born Wymondham circa 1705, baptised 3 March 1706 and married to Elizabeth GOULD in 1721. She died 1729 and William then married Mary WOOD(E) in 1731.

I am trying to find if William and Elizabeth had any children?
Also trying to find who William's parents were. There are two possibilities:
1]. William COOK (born Tharston c.1678 - died Wymondham 1737) and Elizabeth OSBOURNE.
2]. William COOK (born Tharston c.1666 - died Wymondham 1733) and Margaret TOWNSHEND

Would anyone know of these families? Any help will be really appreciated.

Kind regards,

Margaret

Hi Prue M,

I have a few LANGWORTHY's from Jersey.

Arthur LANGWORTHY born 1831 St. Helier and died 1898 New South Wales. He was married to Rosetta CASSIDY.

Their son Arthur married my husband's 3rd. Cousin, Ellen Mary SPOONER.

I have a bit more info.

Hi,

Does anyone know exactly where the burial Ground was for the victims of Cholera and/or Leprosy in Guernsey. Would it be somewhere near Maladerie Road, St. Sampsons?

Lanarkshire / Jean THOM - who are her parents?
« on: Wednesday 11 January 17 10:35 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I have a Jean THOM who was married to James MITCHELL in 1792 at Glasgow.

I am trying to find who her parents were and when and where she was born; at the moment there are two contenders, the first one is William THOM and mother Janet AULD and was born 1766 at New Monkland. This would make her 26 when she got married.  The second choice is her father being John THOM, mother unknown and born 1777 at Cambuslang. That would make her 15 when she got married.

She and James MITCHELL had 6 children; 1). Janet, born 1794 Glasgow. 2). Hugh, born 1796 Old Monkland. 3). John, born 1799 Olds Monkland. 4). Walter born 1804 New Monkland. 5). James born 1806 Old Monkland. 6). Mary born 1811, Old Monkland.

Does this person ring a bell with anyone? She is my 4 X Great Grandmother, and I would really like to know more about her.

Regards,

Margaret
