How is it that you know her date and place of birth but not her first name?  :-\

Do you have your grandmother's birth certificate which may(?) give her mother's full name?

Presumably Kessler her maiden rather than married surname? (just checking ...)

Osterode Harz is in Prussia and I see on this familysearch webpage:-

Can anyone help me to find any details on my great grandmother.. from germany...i have been on ancestry no luck... her name is F kessler.. first name unknown.

 is there any sites that has free access to newspapers, i am trying to save an item in  the Nottingham and general advertiser  1834,   only to do this they want an annual subscription or expensive pay as you go.  thank you .

hi thank you, this could be right as he was sentenced twice , it shows on ancestry in the criminal records book, but its not clear so sentencing is hard to read, very grateful for your help, must have been suffering from hunger , and no shoes, terrible times ,

hi thank you,,,    he was my ggg grandfather,  his name was Thomas smallwood , the crime was in 1834, Nottingham , i found this on ancestry,
 he was about 18 yrs old.
 he is in the census 1841 married to Ada smallwood. his age should be 25,  in the 1851 his correct age was 35.

can i find any info and where if there was a prison sentence for 2 months , this was in 1834, in Nottingham.. it is registered in criminal record book, stating larceny nothing else,,, would there be any further details somewhere ,, thank you.
