Happy New Year to all !

Does anyone have the parish records of Blackburn All Saints Church ?  It was openned around 1872 and is now closed.  I am trying to trace a marriage between Elizabeth Ann Livesey and William Newton in 1905 ?

I live in Denmark btw so a trip to the library is not on the cards for several months.

Thanks  :)

FH Documents and Artefacts / Workhouse Imbecile on death cert
« on: Sunday 15 November 09 14:03 GMT (UK)  »
I have just received a death certificate for one my relatives who died on the lunacy ward of Blackburn workhouse in 1913 and the cause of death was 1. Epilepsy and 2. Imbecile.

Poor lad was only 17 and had been there many years so I am just wondering if he was just merely an epileptic which was not diagnosed or recognised correctly or infact what exactly their description of Imbecile was ?

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / Inquest or Newspaper research

Elizabeth Ann Rogerson

I have been researching this family line for a while now and have received a death cert on the above lady.  I am thinking that it was possibly recorded in the press etc because she died after her clothes set alight at home and there was an inquest after into her death on the 29 January 1940.  She was burnt badly at home on the 2oth Jan 1940 and died in Bucks Royal Hospital Aylesbury on the 26th Jan 1940.  As an added piece of information both the deceased and her sister and father all worked at a hat factory in Aylesbury at this time so I would be gratefull for any information on this and if anyone has access to the Press records or the Inquest records, would they possibly take a look for me when they get a chance as I am sure it would have been recorded and I live in Denmark so am unable to come over just yet.

I know definately that there was an inquest on the 29th January at Aylesbury or in Buckinghamshire and was helod by Stanley E Williams so I am convinced that this would also have been covered by the local newspaper,  ideally I would like any newspaper information and the details of the inquest if possible.

Elizabeth's other family members are as follows

Herbert Rogerson - Father
Olive Rogerson - Mother
Jenny Rogerson - Sister

Thanks in Advance

Tina
